二ッの思慮の道

Two paths of consideration

皇軍将兵の皆様へ

To All Officers and Soldiers of the Imperial Army

ここに諸君達は二ッの思慮の道を選ぶ事が出来る。

Here, you have two paths of consideration to choose from.

一．生はこの苦戦後夢で見心で思いなつかしい我故郷へ帰える事で。

I. After this struggle, I dream of returning to my beloved hometown.

二．死はある淋しい島において世を去り母妻子は何時諸君達のなつかしい笑顔が再び見える事が出来ると想って一日千秋の思いでいる。

II. You passed away on a lonely island, and your mother, wife, and children are waiting with bated breath, wondering when they will be able to see your beloved face again.

白紙また白布を振って米軍側へ歩みよればジューネブ会議の規定の本に食べ物着物及び手厚い治療を受ける事が出来る。

If you wave a white paper sheet or white cloth and walk toward the U.S. forces, you will be able to receive food, clothing, and generous medical care in accordance with the provisions of the Geneva Convention.
